Comment Box Gone

  • Hello – I am new to creating websites. I just published my website the other day and then noticed my comment box is not available on my main page (www.theshamelesschef.com/blog). I have been researching the forums and noted that there seems to be a link between Facebook plugins and disappearing comment boxes. I deactivated all Facebook related plugins but my comment box still does not appear. I had support try to help me from iPage but they weren’t able to identify which plugin was causing the problem. The plugins I have that are related to Facebook or social media are as follows:
    – Comment guestbook
    – Facebook button
    – really simple facebook and Twitter share buttons
    – Simple Social buttons
    – Social media widget

    I can’t tell which is the problem, if any of those. Can someone please help as I’m at a loss.

  • Make your comment box show up:

    Go to:

    1. Add New Post
    2. Upper Right Corner- click “Screen Options”
    3. Make sure “Discussion” is marked.

    This worked for me after hours of reading solutions online.
