Hi guys, I don’t know why the comment box in my post page is not displaying. It is showing the name, email and website inputs box but the comment box is not displaying and doesn’t let you input any comment of course.

This is my website link to one of my posts Website Post.

    I’m using the lingonberry theme.

I hope, someone knows or help to solve this issue. I will really appreciate your help guys..

    Thanks.

  • Somehow, the <textarea> has been set to style="visibility: hidden". I suggest disabling all plugins and seeing if that fixes it. If it does, try re-enabling each plugin one at a time to see which plugin is responsible.

I just checked and looks like is my Crayon plugin..

    This fixed my problem..
Go to Crayon Admin settings then uncheck -> Display the Tag Editor in any TinyMCE instances on the frontend (e.g. bbPress)

    Found it here!

    Done! ??

The website now wont send or post any comments.. I dont know why or what is causing this problem now.. ??

Are you using Lingonberry’s built-in commenting system or Jetpack’s commenting system? I just made a test comment on your site (which you should delete) and it worked.

I’m using the Lingonberry’s the Jetpack’s is disabled but it only works for logged-in users.. try making a comment without being logged-in and see that it won’t send the comment or submitted.. it won’t do anything..

    Hi NorthBlast,

It’s hard to say where the issue originates given the amount of custom work on your site, but I’m not able to post comments on it either. Could it be related to the plugin/script you’re using to load pages on the site (during which the “Jorges site is loading” text is displayed)?

Posting comments shouldn’t be an issue in the standard installation of Lingonberry, so I would recommend you to review the plugins and custom code you’re using.

ok, I’m on it. Thanks for the replay. I just tested without any plugins and thats won’t be the problem, now I will start disabling some of my jqueries to see if they are causing the problem.

    UPDATE
Yeap, you are right… I disabled all my queries and the comments are working fine. I will have to go through one by one to check where is the problem and fix it. Never came into my mind this could be possible..

The query that I like the most to scroll to top is the one making the problem ??

Thanks a lot tho.. !! And btw, out of thousand of themes, yours is the sickest one.. so, keep up the good work.. ??
