    Hey guys

I’ve probably read about a dozen fix threads for this but I can’t seem to find anything that works. My comment box shows up fine on posts, does not show up on my Pages. It’s a new site so I don’t have much data/customization, installed about a week ago.

I’m using the twentythirteen theme, but the comment box did not work on a downloaded theme or another pre-installed theme. The only plugins I have are limit login attempt, MCE Table buttons (to make tables), and WP Canvas. I tried disabling them all, but nothing changed.

My Page template shows <?php comments_template(); ?> right before the <?php endwhile; ?> entry. I tried moving it above the footer but no change.

I tried to download a plugin for a comment box (wp discuz), but it did not show.

My settings under Settings –> discussion I only have 2 boxes checked: Allow people to post comments on new articles AND Enable threaded (nested) comment. All other boxes are unchecked.

If anyone can give me any help I’d appreciate it. It’s one of those frustrating things that seems like there will be no solution for and I might have to reinstall fresh.

Also, where you create/edit pages in admin, check if you have ticked comments for your pages in the “discussion” box below the editor. If you don’t see the “discussion” box there, in the ‘screen option’ dropdown field (located near the top right), there are tick-boxes to show the ‘discussion’ box for the pages. Tick mark it. In the ‘discussion’ box below the page editor, you can then allow/disallow comments for the page.

Thanks so much, Tara. That did the trick!
