Comment checkbox and ” Your comment is awaiting moderation. “

  • Hi ,

    I was using wordpress 4.9.6 and there was a comment checkbox: (Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment). so,when the user mark this checkbox and send a comment, the following message will shown to the user (Your comment is awaiting moderation).

    now with updating wordoress to 4.9.8 this checkbox not appear and when the user send a comment, the message (Your comment is awaiting moderation) not shown.

    My question is, How can I show the message (Your comment is awaiting moderation) to the user after sending the comment? (either by this checkbox or without it)

    In order to show the user that option to save his details for further comments, you should make sure that the Show comments cookies opt-in checkbox. option is checked in Dashboard → Settings → Discussion area. Could you check if this is checked on your website, please?

    I mark on comments cookies opt-in checkbox and work well .

    but do I need to do that for very wordpress update ? because it was shown before WP update?

    No, you don’t need to do that for every wordpress update.
