comment "closed" or form not present

    Hi. setting up simple, default perameters, but have an issue with comments closed on posts and no apparent option to enable them / also no comment form on some pages, but present on others.
    any thoughts?

    OK – adding a second (duplicate) post allowed comments for some reason (and then I deleted the 1st – go figure)
