Comment comes in to my wp_comment

  • There is no comment form in my website. But spam comments come in to wp_comment. Is this code hijacking? How can I find those files? Thank you.

    Comments are built into WordPress. To turn them off, edit your posts, and untick the “allow comments” checkbox. You can also use the Bulk Editor on the post listing screen to disable comments for all posts.

    You don’t need to have a form for a robot to submit a comment. To disable comments, you have to actually disable comments, not hide the form.

    Actually, I comment the comment.php in my theme. I didn’t check allow comments in my post. There is no comment box in my website now. But spam comments still come into my wp_comment table in database.

    Hiding the comment box does not prevent bots from leaving comments. You must turn them off at the Post editor to disable them correctly.
