Comment Error Message

    No one can comment on my blog. The comment form comes up and even with all the fields filled out the next page shows the error:

    Error: Please press the back button and fill the required field for spam protection.

    Is there a plug-in problem? I am not a programmer so I need some basics steps to take.

  • I don’t know if you have been able to fix your visitor comment problem yet or not, I don’t see any responses.

    I had the same dilemma and found out that it was one of my plugins that was the problem. After I deactivated it, my blog now works fine. The plugin I had the problem with is: math Comment Spam Protection. If you are using that one, try deactivating it.

    You can also tweak your comment requirements under Settings/Discussion.

    Disable all the plugins and check with default theme to ruled out theme level problem.

    Also provide your blog URL to check it.
