• I use ISO-8859-2 on my blog. Everything works nice untill someone tries to add a comment to an article post. WordPress encodes characters and blurts out something like this:
“Ciesz?? si??, ??e artyku?? wywo??a?? dyskusj??. ” Instead of european characters like ???? etc.

I tried my best to fix it for a few hours now with no luck. Anybody have any fixes for this. Unfortunelty I can’t change back to UTF-8 because ther rest of the website screws up.

    Thanks

I left 3 comments from 2 different browsers – and typed Central-European characters. They seem to work.

hmm your tests seem to work. and this error does occur on my computer if I copy from microsoft Word. does this mean users can’t copy paste?

Ah! That’s the problem – you or they should never copy from MS Word. Like any MS product… it’s evil ??

Actually the problem still percists. It occurs also when someone type in signs ?? right in the textbox… Everything appears normal to the viewer and he gets the correct response. But in the admin when I have to accept the comments.. the wordpress systems blurts out weird characters and thats how they stay.

    please help
