    Is there any way to get a comment field for the donation form so that the donor can say something about her donation (e.g. “please use this to support project X”)?

    If all else fails, I’d be willing to use the donor occupation field (or another text field) for this purpose if there is a hook to override the label on the form.

    I am using 4.0.14 with the giving level manager add-on.

    There isn’t an obvious hook to override the form label, but you could hack it with a bit of jQuery. And adding fields isn’t supported right now.
