Have recently discovered that comments aren’t working on a site. It has the latest version of WordPress. Small number of plugins: All in One SEO, Official Statcounter, SEO Redirection, Simple Follow Me Social Buttons Widget, Simple Share Buttons Adder and WordPress Editorial Calendar.

I’ve disabled all plugins and tried the comment form but still the same error shows up: Error! Action failed!

The site has plenty of disk space available and I don’t believe it’s having a memory problem. It has plenty of bandwidth available.

I’m at a loss what could be causing this error message.

Website is at https://www.middleagedmama.com.au/ Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi @proverbs31woman

There is a plugin which is making this issue. Or may be installed theme. So you have to find it.
1: You can disable all plugins and test comment form. if solved, you have to find plugin which is making this issue. if not solved..
2: Switch to core WordPress theme like twenty seventeen ( https://www.ads-software.com/themes/twentyseventeen/ ) and test comment form. if issue solved, that means there is issue in theme.

    Hope this will help you.

Thanks, I’ve already done the plugin test as mentioned above but didn’t try the theme. I’ll go give that a go and report back.

Ok, I’ve tried that too and didn’t work but once I disabled the plugins again then it did work. Thank you. Will now have to work out what plugin that’s not working with the theme.
