Comment Moderation Not Working

  • is this a bug ?

    when wp is set for all comments to be moderated, it goes ahead and posts the comments and says its being held for moderation

    how can this make sense ? I thought moderation meant, before the comment is posted to site, the admin has to approve it or does it mean something else ?

  • Only the poster sees his/her own post with the warning that it’s held for moderation. Others do not see it until it’s approved by the admin.

    well i logged out to test it and I could still see the post. I even cleared the browser history and cache and the comment is still viewed publicly even though its not approved yet

    fixed it, apparently it was a cookie issue, once removed the unapproved comment no longer shows up,
