Comment moderation/notification

    Hi all,

    I am going to use this plugin on my website to allow users’ post which seems it does the job. however there are a few question which I couldn’t find the answer for that:

    1- will the author be notified for new comments?
    2- How can I provide moderation to the author?
    3- Is the email notification template the same as notification that admin receives (with links to spam, approve.. in it)?

    Hi Ethan,

    Glad to help:

    1) Not via WordPress default functionality, nor via the plugin, but you should be able to find a plugin that notifies the post author of new comments.

    2) Set the Post Status to either Pending or Draft in the plugin settings.

    3) No, the email is very simple, but I think there is a hook that could be used to modify.

    I just found the wp_notify_moderator function which I believe can be overridden for my requirements.
