    Hi,

I’ve been creating a website and I can’t seem to get the comments to display the name of the person commenting or the date they commented. Does anyone know how to fix this please? I’m only able to see the info if I highlight it with my mouse.

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you can see the text when it is highlighted, it sounds like it may be a color issue. The comment text may be set to the same color as your background, thus invisible until highlighted. This could be corrected with custom CSS if it is the case.

I visited your site though and was able to see the comments in white text on the black background.

As above – exactly the issue.

You need to modify the CSS: https://atendesigngroup.com/blog/how-determine-which-css-styling-element

I’m aware of that I need to put a custom CSS in but when I’ve tried, it doesn’t change the text. I’ve been looking at it since the weekend and I can’t see the right element to change.

I’ve had to add a custom CSS in as the main content background wasn’t fully black.

To clarify it is the Name of the person commenting and the date/time of the comment which isn’t showing. I’ve added a screenshot to show the issue.

If anyone knows what the coding should be, I’d be grateful.

Thank you. I’ve ended up changing the theme style sheet as the coding wasn’t working but I finally have white text!!

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I really appreciate it!
