Comment Not Showing

  • I am wondering why this comment is not showing on my article. I can only view the comment in the control panel. It does not show up on the website.

    This happens on any theme I choose, so I don’t think it is theme related. It says there are 2 comments, but only shows one of them.

    Please check if the comment is approved. If it is unapproved, please approve it. Does comments appear on other posts? You might have disabled comments for that post. Please make sure that it is enabled. You can find more details about the comment by using moderate button on comments menu in wp dashboard.

    The comment is approved. All other comments are showing except that comment. I don’t know what is wrong with it.

    if you are looking into the html of the page,you see that one ‘comment’ is a pngback – which is this part of the output:

Thanks for the comments! You can subscribe to my RSS. What kind of trouble are you having? Are you getting any error messages? Which browser are you using? Please note, that Microsoft Edge doesn’t directly support RSS.

    not all themes separate comments and pingbacks…

    try web search for ‘wordpress separate comments and pingbacks‘ to get an idea…

    I have no idea what any of that means. I searched for that information. I have no idea what that ping back means. All I know is I have a comment in my control panel. I have no idea how the comment can’t be real when I can see it.

    I can’t figure out how to upload a screen shot on this post, so I have uploaded one at this link:

    I also notice when I search for that IP Address, I get a bunch of things about it being a spam IP Address…

    None of that makes any sense to me. What ever that ping back means.
