Comment notification by email

I’m running 1.3 alpha 4 and for the past few nightlies, I have not been able to receive any email notification of any new comments. It used to work when I used 1.2, but now that I have upgraded to 1.3 alpha, it no longer works. Is this a bug in 1.3 that is being worked out? Is it known? Or is it just my persoanal problem? Anyone else have this problem?
