Comment Notification to Original Author Hack?

I use to have a hack that would notify all those who left comments via e-mail in b2. Now since the comment engine has been rewritten, I can’t use that hack. Is there a hack that I can use for WP now?

I’d like to be able to allow those who post comments to all be notified (not just me, the admin) of new comments to keep the thread alive. I don’t see RSS monitoring a huge success for this.
