• I enabled notifications to be sent to my email when a comment has been placed on my blog. However my test runs of comments have not lead to emails arriving in my inbox.

I also want to know how i can enable it to where when a comment comes to my inbox that I can reply directly to the commenter’s email instead of posting a response on my blog. All of the information I have found for WordPress is from 2009 and I don’t seem to have the same options.

I am so frustrated! Please help!

  • There is no email notification in WordPress by default. are you using a plugin such as Jetpack? If so, please post in the correct dedicated plugin forum.

I am not using any other pluggins. I guess what you are saying is WordPress doesn’t do what I want it to do by default?

When I go to Settings>Discussion> Email me whenever> Anyone posts a comment…what am I doing then? Aren’t I asking for an email notification of a comment?

    what am I doing then

Sorry! I misunderstood you! Have a look at E-mailed passwords are not being received
