comment shown EVEN as await moderation

  • I have a comment being shown at the same time that it says “comment awaiting moderation”. I have CHECKED “An administrator must approve the comment” AND CHECKED “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail”.

    I am using the askimet spam blocker and the math comment spam plug in. I want it so that anyone can comment without registering BUT the comment wont be shown until approved. I thought this is what would happen…

  • I had this problem a year or so back and it was due to the theme I was using. If you are using something different than the default theme, switch to the default theme and see if the problem still exists. If not, start looking through your theme code….or pick another theme.

    Actually, only the commenter should see it – supposedly to prevent him/her from submitting it 25 times like an idiot ??

    Form another computer or after clearing the cookies you shouldn’t be able to see the comment AND the warning “awaiting moderation”.
