Comment Spacing

  • On my new WordPress blog (recently ported from MovableType).. I find I have a very “squished” look on my comments section. The first comment on a post (when there are multiple comments).. and the first entry field for the name when you are entering comments.. is jammed up tight against the heading.. instead of under it, as it is supposed to be.
    I’m new to coding.. very very new to it.. and this seems so different from MT.. could anyone give me any simple ideas on how to put in a space?

  • Well you got the Name box moved down!
    The code was a listing that showed what html tags are allowed in comments, so people would know. I usually delete it myself on mine and just leave the part that says “Line and paragraph breaks automatic, email addresses never displayed.”

    Ok, it isn’t pretty.. but I figured out a way to do what I want. I’ll admit that I’m lame enough to have Dreamweaver uploaded while not knowing how to use it (yet)..
    I just cheated and had it show me a live view of my code, until i fixed my snafu..
    Hopefully i’ll learn and make my OWN CSS style soon, and won’t have to annoy all you guys..
    thanks SO much though, the WP forums already seem much nicer and helpful than the MT ones ever did
