Comment whitelist?

  • There is something I don’t understand. I use Akismet and Bad Behaviour as plugins.

    There are some users whose comments always go directly into moderation. No matter what they write (with or without links in their text). This is a bit annoying. Is there any way to whitelist a person?

    I thought that the Options->Discussions->Comment author must have a previously approved comment

    tickbox would take care of it but it doesn’t.

    Any help would be very appriciated.

    akismet with local whitelist

    don’t know if it works, but looks promising.

    Without knowing more details about the the actual comments, there’s little we can help with. Sometimes when Akismet is down or not responding quickly enough, comments will go into the moderation queue.

    Make sure you don’t have the “Admin must approve all comments” check box checked.

    Thanks for the answers guys. (No the Admin must approve all comments” is not ticked, as most comments do get through).

    I guess we have to wait for Akismet to add the local whitelist option standard. But I’ll have a look at the link you gave me Charle97.
