I have tried changing to the default theme and am still having issues. When users try to comment they are receiving the error.
“ERROR: You need to accept the terms and conditions to post a comment.”
However, the checkbox for the consent is not appearing on the comment forms. I am using Jetpack for comments. The problem exists on both custom template and Twenty Seventeen template

  • Hi there!

Jetpack comments aren’t currently supported, but it looks like I should add an integration for that. Will look into this!

Thank you. Also, hoping you will have cookie management soon. I appreciate all your work.

Grateful to have found this thread. I’m having the same problem but did not realize it was probably from JetPack. I use the Lucienne Theme and Jetpack for comments.

This plugin has been so easy to set up and works great. So appreciate being able to use it.

Any idea when Jetpack would be supported? I don’t want to deactivate the Framework so I can stay compliant.

Thank you for all you do!

I have the same problem. To comment they need to register as a user, but everybody gets the message: “ERROR: You need to accept the terms and conditions to post a comment.” But no checkbox is showing up on the registration form. I’m using Geodirectory for the website and the registration form is theirs. Don’t know how to add the checkbox for agreeing to terms and conditions.

    Thankful for any help.

Same problem for me with WPDiscuz comment plugin.
No one can leave a comment since GDPR Framework is installed (even if the consent checkbox don’t appear on the form)…
Can someone help solve this problem ?
Thank you in advance for help

I am having the same issue only with all my donation forms (I use GiveWP). I have no idea how much money in donations I’ve lost as I just discovered the bug today after using the plugin for a couple of months.

Error is: “ERROR: You need to accept the terms and conditions to post a comment.”
