I don’t know if this question is related directly to the Wilson theme, but that’s the one I’m using. I imported a bunch of older posts from a different blog hosted using WordPress. As far as I can remember, comments were open on these posts. At any rate, at the bottom of posts, there’s a message that says “Comments are closed.” Even after selecting “Allow comments” for a post and updating the post, the message is still there. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @coolmudgeon,

Try activating a different theme in Appearance → Themes (like TwentyXXX, if you have one of those installed) and check if the posts still show “Comments are closed.” If they do, it’s probably related to Wilson.

If they still show “Comments are closed” when you’ve switched themes, you can try deactivating your plugins one at the time to check if any of them are at fault.

Thanks for your response, Anders. I figured out what the issue was. I had to uncheck this option in the Discussion settings: “Automatically close comments on articles older than __ days.”
