• All old comments still exist inside wordpress but do not display on the website on any pages. The option to comment no longer appears at the bottom of posts.

I’ve checked the settings -> Discussions.
    comments are still definitely enabled.

I have made NO recent edits/changes to any html files.

I have recently updated Gantry Frame work to 4.0.7

I have recently updated WordPress from 3.6 to 3.6.1

I’m guessing there is some sort of conflict since updating. Does anyone have any advice on testing that theory without having to reinstall the entire website from my backup version.

If I flick to a different theme like “2012”, will I lose a lot of customisations from my primary theme when I flick back?

Is there anyway to easily revert the versions of wordpress or the framework without screwing up the website?

Any thought would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Hi Esmi,

switching theme will test the issue but how will it affect my customisations? will everything be exactly the same when I revert back to my current theme after the test?

Your theme & plugin settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use.
