• Hello! I have a few remaining issues on my site ( messywarrior.com ) that I am really struggling with.

    1. I am using a customized theme. I did contact them for support on this issue and they are unable to help me.

The issue: most of my pages are based of a widget that displays static content at the top and a recent posts grid at the bottom. There is no option to “load more posts” according to the developer. This is a huge problem, as my viewers will never be able to read more than the first few posts in any given category. Is there a way to add any sort of button to these pages to give this option?

    2. I think this is a giant “no” but: my posts very rarely get comments. However, they auto publish to facebook and always get lots of comments there. Is there any plugin that does sort of a reverse comment box to where the facebook comments load to the blog?

  • Under settings>>readings>>blog pages to show at most. What is that set at?

    Hi kmessinger. It’s set 10.

The issue is that the widgetized page will only display what I tell it to with no option to load more. I have it set at 6, mostly because the featured photos are all high res, so the page would take forever to load otherwise.

I believe there is a workaround but I am struggling a bit with the final step. (I apologize- I am very new to wordpress).

On the widget I can add another static content page and have a page with a load more button. However, I am not sure how I get it to link to a category of blog posts. Does that make sense?

    Sorry, I can’t help further.

If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

Well, as I stated in my first post- I have gone to them. Hey said they cannot support a load more button and didn’t offer any more assistance than that. But, thank you. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
