Comments Are closed (when I never closed them)

  • Hello there,

    i have this blog

    And even though I checked in Settings>Discussion>Default Article Settings and I left Checked the box “Allow people to post comments on new articles” no visitor is able to leave a comment. Neither I.

    Is there anything I could do? I have the fluxipress theme

    try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    I am having the same issue.

    It is saying my comments are closed yet I have not closed them. I also checked the Settings>Discussion> and Allow people to post comments on new articles yet, the entire REPLY box is GONE and I am unable to leave comments, as well as visitors.

    I have deactivated ALL plugins
    I switched to the Twenty Fourteen theme.

    SAME issue.

    Find a post were you can’t comment
    – edit the post
    – look for teh ‘Discussions’ section – if you don’t see it click the ‘Screen Options’ tab in the top right and check off ‘Discussion’.

    is the ‘Allow Comments’ checked off?
