I am using magazine basic theme. I checked the appropriate boxes in discussion under settings yet I do not see the comments form at the end of my articles. Can someone tell me how to fix it? Thanks

  • Edit each published Page or Post and check “Allow comments” in each case. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options at the very top of the page and check “Discussion”.

esme, I have checked “allow comments” and also “comments” box in Screen Options. In screen options, there is no Discussion box.

There are no “allow comments” or “comments” boxes in Screen Options. Just a checkbox (amongst others) labelled “Discussion”.

esmi, I checked the box, “anyone can post comments” box. Still, there is no comments box on each post page, as suggested by c bavota.

Can you replicate the problem using the default theme with all plugins deactivated?

esmi, I think you got me there. I am not that computer-savvy. I am not sure what you mean by default theme. There are only two plugins – akismat and Jetpack by WordPress.com.
Do you suggest I delete them?
I appreciate the time you’re taking to help me.

Go to Appearance -> Themes and activate the Twenty Twelve theme.

Okay. I activated Twenty Twelve theme. Still no comments box.

Can we see your site please?

    Yes. please. URL is https://thulika.net.

I am sorry. That did not work either. Still no comments box. I don’t mind giving you id and password if it helps.

Or, I may have to go back to my earlier theme. It gave me comments box, although, I found this theme serves my purpose better. Mine is a literature site, not business.

Can you try creating a new admin user on your site, logging in as that user and then editing that post?

Thank you for your suggestion about login info. I should have known.
I will try a new admin user and editing the post. Probably, it will take a while, but I will keep trying.
