• I can’t seem to get the Comments box to appear underneath my posts. I’ve tried through the normal WordPress comments procedure [From the Posts/Pages screen, check the boxes next to the posts or Pages on which you want to enable comments. Select “Edit” from the “Bulk Edit” Dropdown box and click Apply. Then, select “Allow” next in the Comments dropdown box and finish by clicking “update.”]
    And I’ve tried by using the Jetpack Discussion option to allow users to comment.
    Neither of these work.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you in advance

  • There are two things that needs to check
    # wp-admin panel->settings->Discussion
    Here check the settings if anyone can post comments on your website?

    # Check page and post templates under theme files, if they have necessary template tags added for comments to be displayed on the website?

    Thanks for your reply.
    Under wp-admin panel->settings->discussion the check-box for “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is checked.

    And I’m afraid I don’t understand what to do for the second part of your reply. I don’t know how to check page and post templates under theme files – I’ve managed to find where you can check them out, but I have no idea what I’m looking for.

    Could you give me any more advice on this please?

    Inside your theme files Check if it includes “comments.php” file in it?

    It looks like it does – I did a find on the page and “comments.php” was in the Theme Files column on the right hand side.
