• On some of my “older” posts from this month and last the comment section isn’t showing up. I have gone under discussion to ensure comments are turned on and I turned them on/off on the blog post I’m trying to fix. On my new posts, comments are showing up without me doing anything differently between the two. The only plug in I’ve changed didn’t mess with the comments when I went back to the old one to see if it mattered. I don’t have the elementor plug in which, in the past, seemed to be an issue by other forums I’ve found. Thanks for your help.

  • Hi,

I see you are using a Genesis child theme which is a commercial theme. Commercial products are not supported in this forum. That being said however, I can tell you to look in the theme settings in the customizer. I use Genesis themes and they typically have a global theme setting for comments.

Log into your dashboard and go to Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Settings. You will find the setting there. The specific option varies by theme.

    Hey Tim,

Thank you so much for your quick reply! I have that turned on…when I go into the individual posts settings I also see that comments are turned on under the discussion post too. Would this be a genesis problem? Like I said, the only thing that has changed was 1 plug in (I went from WP recipe maker to create by media vine…I switched which was off and which was on to see if that effected my comments but it didn’t seem to mess with anything.)

    Blessings,
    Meghan

    Hi Meghan,

At this point I would contact your child theme developer. Looks like you have Foodie Pro. I recall seeing a link on the bottom of your website.
