Comments error

  • I have this error message top of page in my admin area:

    WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’

    WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
    SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘spam’

    Same thing when I try to click on to any blog comment, can’t open comments. It is only on one subdomain. My hosts tell me they are looking into it for weeks, another user has same thing they said. But has anyone any idea what this is please?

  • You need to repair those DB tables. If you don’t know how – contact your host.

    I tried to repair database, but no result. The table said “in use”, 0kbs as though there was nothing there. My host said the problem has been resolved “their end” and I might just need to repair the database, but no different.

    There is also anothre mystery on comments at a seperate sub domain of mine. All comments are visible on the site, and in admin recent comments are showing up, but if I click show all, “no comments found” comes up, even though I was just looking at recent comments. If I click manage comments, “no comments found” again.
