• What’s the usual channel for trying to get attention for a bug? I’ve had one sitting in limbo for 3 months with a working fix, but there’s no owner, so I don’t know who to contact.
It’s bug 137: the comments feed checks the modification time of the last post to decide whether or not to send the actual XML or just “304 not modified” — so if you only post once a week, but people comment several times a day, your comments feed will appear not to be updated for the entire week. Previously the fix was in the form of a couple of code bits that had to be pasted in. On the theory that the lack of an actual patch was the problem, I just put a patch together and posted it to the bug.

Thanks. That looks a bit too high-traffic for me right now — I’m not heavily into development, it’s just a few issues I’m chasing down — but I’ll keep it in mind the next time I have this kind of problem.
(On the specific issue, it looks like Matt spotted the patch and added it to CVS, so I guess the delay really was the fact that the fix was in “paste this here” format instead of a patch.)
