Comments getting cut off in 1.2.2

I’m running wordpress 1.2.2 and lately (the past month or so) some of the comments left at my blog have been cut off by the commentors. Its really getting on their nerves (mine as well.) I’ve asked them to make sure they’re not putting any brackets (since thats all I know of thus far that’ll inturrupt a comment). But still, some of them are getting cut off. As far as I can tell, its kind of random. Is there anything (character, etc) that would be triggering this?
