Comments have disappeared, getting missing files message

  • I am getting a message that says

    WordPress database error: [Can’t find file: ‘wpi4f_comments.MYI’ (errno: 2)]
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wpi4f_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’

    WordPress database error: [Can’t find file: ‘wpi4f_comments.MYI’ (errno: 2)]
    SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM wpi4f_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘spam’

    on my dashboard and comments won’t show on my site (I just removed the recent comments widget because all I get is giberish.

    I tried reloading the theme but that didn’t do it and when I switched themes, same problem. I tried finding the missing files, but they don’t seem to exist on my hardrive.

    Anyone know what to do?
