Comments help

something is wrong in your comment loop. can you post the code from your main template file and from the comments file.

as an aside, for posting big chunks of code please consider using a pastebin service like https://wordpress.pastebin.ca and just posting a link to it here.

Well, the call for the comments template is there – so it should work.
What happens if you switch to another theme, like default or classic? Does the error persist?

it doesn’t. it’s peculiar to this one. i’d had no problem in the past. is there anything else it could be?

could it be responding strangely to akismet?

Hmm. Did you do anything special (=new plugin, modify code) in between? Did your host, eventually, change/upgrade something on their end?

nope, which is all the more frustrating. i’ve deactivated my plug-ins to no avail. what might’ve the host done that i could investigate?
