Comments in files?

  • Hi!
    I’m using File-away in an intranet theme called WOFFICE.
    My client ask me if it’s possible to allow intranet users to comment on files. Not editing files…only can write comments.
    Is it possible?
    Do you have a pro version maybe?

  • this may or may not help you. but the file-away plugin allows you to create custom meta columns for each file. the way you input the custom data is part of the file name.

    so you could create file names such as
    [<title of the document>,<user comments>]Actual File name.txt

    Then the <title of the document> and <user comments> would show up as a data field that you can display.

    You’d obviously have to create your own custom code to injest the comments and mod the file’s name. Not an elegant solution..but probably the only solution on this free plugin
