Hi Is this best practice? Twenty seventeen does not show comments as standard, So I have used a custom link to the first post in the blog, titled ‘News & Discussion 2’which does show the comments. Will this function normally as the Blog page?
    Kind regards.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

“News & Discussion” and “News & Discussion 2” look exactly the same page to me, as they point to the same URL. I don’t understand the question.

Hi Thank you for replying. One link is https://www.newvillagehall.co.uk/?page_id=29

    The other link is https://www.newvillagehall.co.uk/?p=190

In my browsers p=190 shows comments but in p=29 the original Blog page, it does not show comments?

Hope this is clearer. Best Nick

Do you need to link to both pages in the navigation; can you link to the one with comments instead?

Hi Andrew. No, the link can be to one with comments. The other link can be removed but it is the page that WordPress/settings/reading recognises as the ‘Blog’. ‘News & Discussion 2’ does not show in the list from ‘WordPress/settings/reading’ because it is not a page, it’s a custom link to the blog article. Strange behaviour indeed. Best.
