• I am using ‘NextPage’ to create multipart/split posts in Divi. On these multipart posts comments input box shows up at the bottom of each part/page. I want to restrict it to last part/page only. Kindly advise me how can I achieve this?

  • Hi –

Please confirm which site you are needing help with. This forum is for the Libretto theme. Divi is mentioned in the OP.

Sorry. This is for libretto theme.

    Hi there,

I don’t think this is possible, as it’s still just one page, and the comment section is tied to the page, not to a particular section of the page.

Page sections you create via the pagination tag do not have unique CSS classes or ids that you can use to make CSS changes, like hiding the comments section, for only certain sections. That’s the only way I can think of that it would have been possible to change this from the theme side of things.

How pagination works is a Core feature, not something controlled by the theme, so perhaps try asking in the general forum instead if anyone there knows of a plugin or another way to do this.

Hmm, I took another look, and it seems there are a couple CSS classes added, .paged-2.single-paged-2, .paged-3.single-paged-3, etc.

But there’s no class to uniquely identify the first page – no .paged-1 class that we can use to hide comments on the first page. And there’s no way to target a “last” page – you can only target by page number, so unless you’ll always be using the exact same number of pages I don’t see any way to have the comments always only show on the last page.

So while some changes might be possible, this particular one does not appear to be.
