    Run now many months build WP 3.5.1 with default Twenty Twelve (default)theme.
    Disabled many plug-ins, but when I add a comment to an article/blog and choose ‘submit’:
    -the comment isn’t stored and visible (also not in a state like ‘pending’).
    -Comments are allowed for all posts.
    -I see a small version of my complete website appear in the comment-area;

    Does someone has a solution? It just suddenly showed up, and I can’t respond on possible input from visitors, as they can not comment either.

  • +1 for this problem.

    Using Jetpack comments with WP 3.5.1, was fine yesterday but from today it’s not possible to post a comment – instead after clicking submit the 404 page appears in the comments box. (I CAN still post comments via the WP dashboard.) I haven’t changed anything on my site between yesterday and today. Problem with WordPress servers?

    @paultoon: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own. It causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic.

    @nielst75: Can you post your site url?

    @esmi: I simply added a +1 to the exact same problem. Apologies if that is considered impolite. Adding a little extra information so that hopefully NielsT75’s question can be answered. I didn’t want to post a duplicate thread, which I expected would cause problems for the forum’s volunteers.

    It will not cause problems – quite the reverse. I suggest you try reviewing Where_To_Post.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – re-uploadong a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Twelve folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    -deactivated all plugins, then suddenly I can post a comment;
    UNTIL I activate Jetpack for WordPress….
    Then I get the issues I mentioned in first post, and as confirmed by Paul.

    Can you try deactivating all plugins again and, this time, activate Jetpack first and see what happens?

    Just updated to 2.2.4 of Jetpack and problems seems to be solved.
