Comments not assigned to the post

  • Hi Peter, team,

    I tried your plugin on clean installation and comments are created, but not assigned to the post.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Install WP 5.8.
    2. Install and activate Comment Moderation Role plugin
    3. Create a new user (default role Subscriber)
    4. Change new user role to Comment Moderator
    5. Login as the Moderator and reply to some comment
    6. Comment is created but not assigned to the post
    7. After the browser refresh comment is no more visible on the list (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=am-comment-moderation)
    8. Login back as admin
    9. Comment is still here, but without assigned post
    10. Try to create new comment as an admin – same problem
    11. Deactivate plugin Comment Moderator
    12. Create new comment – working as expected

    Could you please look at it? I really need this plugin :).
    If needed, I can provide credentials to my test installation.

    I’ll investigate this later this week.

    Please do not provide any credentials, I can test this on my own install.

    It’s best not to offer log in details, despite the best of intentions. Plugin developers and support staff are not allowed to accept such offers on the support forums. (Please take this in the friendly spirit in which the advice is offered ??

    To help me test later in the week, are you able to let me know of any other plugins you have installed? Especially if they alter the permissions for users.
