Comments not displaying

I’m using the Thesis theme and comments are not displaying in blog posts (such as this one: https://yourworkisyourlife.com/being-stood-up/).

I can see the comment counter, plus comments are being shown in the admin panel of the site back-end. Just not displaying on the site.

I changed the theme to WordPress TwentyEleven theme and the comments were showing, which tells me it’s related to the theme, but I don’t know how to amend!

I also disabled all the plugins and then enabled them again one by one – the comments weren’t showing throughout.

It looks like Hostgator made some changes and it impacted my site. I contacted them yesterday and they reverted to the old php file. I’ve no idea what this means and so don’t want to play around with this file on my own without asking the experts first !
