Comments not importing

    Hello,

    im trying to import a Blogger site with a lot of comments which i’d like to keep. But the Plugin only imports the posts without the comments. Also i don’t get a notification if it is done. It just stops loading the site. I’m using a self hosted WordPress version not WordPress.com. Any ideas what i can do?

    So,

    i have solved this problem by myself. As it turned out, my hosting provider stopped the execution of the importer script after 180 seconds because of the default PHP settings. I wanted to import a xml file which was greater than 8MiB so the script didin’t finish in time. So all i had to do is edit the PHP.ini file of my webserver and add/edit the lines:

    max_execution_time = 300

    I hope i could help some of you who run into the same problem.

    If you reach a timeout issue, you can also just re-import the same file repeatedly, and it will ignore that part which is already imported in previous attempts.
