Comments not showing up

    This may be old and checked already but could not find a link that helped me. I am using Astra theme for my blog but can’t get the comment’s box to show in their posts. Everything is enabled in the discussion and screen options tab in my dashboard and on every post. I am using post slider from WP bakery ( Visual Composer). I am not experienced in coding so I am not getting in the code editor settings. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

    I had the same problem, I didn’t even notice that until one my friend said that she commented, but to my surprise, I didn’t find anything, not even a spa.
    After that, I followed a few steps and it went ok.
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Discussion
    3. There you will find two boxes, with a) Comment moderation and b) Comment Blacklist

    Be sure that they are empty boxes. If something is written on it. Just delete everything and tap the save button.

    It worked for me

    I am having a similar problem and over the last day have tried the various suggestions to no avail. Although my issue is a bit different. My comments initially display under the original post as you would expect with any social platform; however, once the page is refreshed the comment disappears from under the original post and is newly displayed under the activity log. This makes it extremely hard to have productive conversation as you have to hunt for every individual reply. Any suggestions. I am willing to post screenshots of what I am experiencing but I do not know if it’s allowed.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to resolve this issue for more than a week. Thanks!

    The theme on your site does not seem to be Astra, have you switched the theme to a different one?

    Also – This seems to be WooCommerce products, here usually “Reviews” are displayed in the place of comments.

    the problems solved.
    problem was on database and comments closed from database
    and i solved this problem with use the code
    UPDATE wp_posts SET comment_status = “open” ;
    run in phpmyadmin

    So I had this problem and I found in the Discussion settings. 2 things:
    – Users must be registered and logged in to comment
    – Automatically close comments on articles older than X days
