• Hi,

I am using Genesis with the Brunch Pro theme. I have added a blog post, but I can’t get a blank comments box to appear. Even if I add a comment of my own from within WordPress, that still doesn’t show up.

I recently installed Jet Pack (because I wanted the ‘edit css’ function), but I had this problem prior to installing Jet Pack so I don’t think the two are related.

I have looked in Settings – Discussion – and I can’t see anything in there that would stop people from adding a comment. I never changed any of the default settings in there. Comment moderation applies only if people use 2 or more links – so I don’t think it’s related to that.

Within the post itself, I can’t see anything that would block/not allow comments. All I can see under Comments is a button titled ‘Add comment’ which is for me to add a comment. Under that, it says no comments yet.

I can’t figure out why the blank comments box isn’t showing up, when everything seems to be enabled. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Hi Sami, unfortunately the problem remains, I still can’t see the comments box at all. The other night it did appear briefly and then I lost it again!

Hi tanyasq, Sorry i was much from couple of days and just got time to reply you back.

I checked your site today and still able to see the comment box there. Hope, you can see this now ??

    Thanks,

    Hi Tanya,

Can you please answer the following questions?

    1. Are you using Mac system or windows system?
    2. Version of your operating system?
    3. Which browser you are using and the version of that browser?

    Thanks,
    Sami

    Hi Sami,

I am using a PC with Windows 10.

I am using the latest version of Chrome. (I’m away on holiday at the moment so I can’t check the version number, but I do know it’s set to update automatically so will definitely be the latest version.)

I also tried Firefix (latest version) and had the same problem.

Also using Safari on my iPhone and having the same problem there as well.

    Thanks,

    Tanya
