Comments Not Working

  • Hi, so only admins are able to comment!

    We have the checkbox options for comments disabled actually in the plugin settings, but it still shows below the comment box. I tested with different themes, and even with all plugins disabled, but it still shows.

    Logged in site users do not see the checkbox, but get the message “please check the privacy box” when trying to comment.

    Any help would be great, so I don’t have to abandon the plugin, it works perfectly for us. Thanks!

    Sorry to hear you are having problems with the plugin

    What I understand from your issue is that even with ALL plugins disabled the box still shows, correct? If our plugin is not active but the checkbox still shows it sounds to me that the box is added by your theme or some other service. Is the text used you configured in our plugin to display next to the checkbox or is it something else?

    Thanks for responding!! Let me clarify:

    All plugins disabled (EXCEPT Cookie Information and WooCommerce) and different themes tested – WP comment checkbox persists even when not active in the Cookie Info settings.

    If the Cookie Information plugin is disabled, the checkbox is removed.
