• Hi everyone, I am new to this but I can’t figure this out for my life! – I have it set in the admin, options, dicussions that anyone should be able to leave a comment, however, when I click the <no comments> link next to a post, I just get the same page with #comments appended to it and no comment form to leave a comment – also, I see the text: “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” at the bottom of the page.

    Please help! Thanks so much!

  • First of all, have you changed themes? Are you using the default one?

I am using the WordPress Default 1.5.2 as the default theme…

and still am stumped, can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance! Matt

I changed to IceBlue and now I can’t get any comments as well.

@crystal, I don’t see any blog linked to your name, so please, give us a link. On the other hand the OP [original poster] couldn’t comment even with the default theme – so your problem might be not related at all.

@spider_templar, it this point a link would be useful.

I hate bumping and double posting but this is really important. Please help.

Then don’t bump after a half hour! It won’t get you a faster reply… on the contrary.
It’s just a blog, not life and death. Be patient.

Well I’m sorry if there isn’t any self-help topic on here about this kind of stuff. If there were I wouldn’t even be bothering you. I kinda want this resolved as wquickly as possible.

Everybody wants their problem resolved quickly.
However, it could happen the usual helpers are not online (it’s still kind of mid-holidays season), or nobody has an aswer yet… or pissed of that you hijacked seomeone else’s topic ??

Check your single.php or index.php (whichever is in use) whether it has the call for the comments template.
Does it work if you switch to another theme? If yes, it’s your theme.

What do I need to add if it’s not calling for the comments template?

Actually, I don’t have the ability to comment in any of them, and I know I have it so people can leave a comment.

Do you mean comments don’t work even if you switch to another theme? Switch to default or classic and leave it like that for a few minutes until we check it.

Comments don’t work even on default, just like spider.

All right I’ll do that now before I shower.

Try to add post_id or postname to your permalink structure.

    I love you. Thanks. ^^
