comments off. how to turn them back on

  • Since upgrading to vers. 3.6 today (8/15/13) ability to post comments is gone. Every post says “comments off”. Need to fix that ASAP! But how?

    I think I’ve identified the problem. I’m using a theme called Whitehouse by PageLines. since upgrading to WordPress 3.6 each post gives options for comments which didn’t appear before. By checking the box for “allow comments” I’ve turned the comments back on. Now I have to restore my plug-ins and widgets and make sure it still works.
