Comments on a password-protected website
-
When someone posts a comment, does www.ads-software.com automatically ask for their name and e-mail, so we all know who it’s from?
I want to set up a private blog with access by invitation only. It needs to be really simple for invited friends to access. Some would even be frightened off by having to register with WordPress.com so I won’t be able to host the site there.
Instead, I hope to install WordPress on the webspace I have from my ISP. Apparently I can password-protect any folder there, so I plan to give everyone the same password.
As instructed in www.ads-software.com documentation, I’ve checked the account supports PHP 4.2,MySQL 4.0 and the mod_rewrite Apache module and was told,
Your account will support this without any problems.
You will need to upload this to our CCGi service.… whatever that means!
Thanks for help.
