Comments on one page only

    Hi
    I would like to have comments only on a comments/feedback page. I successfully turned off comments on my other pages but I do want comments on this one page. Even though the “allow comments” button is checked the page does not show a comments box. All the support info for this on WP is 5 or 6 years old and generally involves addition of code. I am hesitant to do this from such old information. Thanks for help. I am a complete novice with this and this is my first website: artofjoi.com.

    If you had comments on for this page before you turned off the all comments the comments will stay on for that page I believe.

    Go to Pages and click All Pages, hover over the Home page (or whatever page) and click Quick Edit, then uncheck the box next to Allow Comments.

    Checking and unchecking the box did nothing. It did work for the home page so I just got rid of the comments page and will have people comment on the home page for now. Thanks.

    Sorry I must have not read correctly, you want a comments page with all comments on it nothing else?

    I had created a comments page with a few pictures and a message from me. I wanted the comments box to stay on it. I had unchecked the comments box earlier when I was designing all the pages but wanted to reinstate it. It would not come back. When I have time, I will try to create a new page and see if the comments box is there and start over with a new page. Thanks.

    Using the way I explained before you should be able to turn comments on and off on any pages.

    Yes, I agree. For some reason, it will not work on this particular page. I think that is why I must begin over with a new page from the template. Somehow this one page was corrupted so I deleted it. Thanks.
