I am new to wordpress but have a good knowledge HTML and CSS and basic PHP. I have setup the page for my wife to use and before I started filling in content on the subpages wanted to get them setup. For all the pages such as home, contact, about (basically everything other than that blog) I wanted to get rid of the comment option. I did some searching and saw things like “disable the comment feature” or “delete the <?php comments_template(); ?> portion” but I was unable to find either of these in either of the templates I have installed. The posts that I saw this in were fairly old and I couldn’t find anything new with this topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    https://www.mybeachbodycoaching.com/blog is the main page.

Di you try the WP admin dashboard?

Go to the WP Admin Dashboard / Pages (https://EXAMPLE.COM/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page) and choose the quick edit function then uncheck the box for allowing comments on those pages.

This way you can have some pages where people can still comment.

I had looked on that page again and again but didn’t see it. I just noticed the “screen options” drop down at the top for that page had a lot more options that weren’t normally visible. That was why I didn’t see that option where the posts were telling me. Thanks for making me reexamine that page.
