    hi
I wonder, just started using wordpress/jetpack, if it is possible to have comments only if people authenticate, basically no anonymous comments?
If I set in WordPress’ discussion ‘Users must be registered and logged in to comment’ – that’s not going to do what I want, right?

    many thanks, L.

    Hey there!

On your Dashboard>Settings>Discussion you can check the Comment author must fill out name and email option.

This should work out for you, as whoever wants to comment on your site will have to leave at least their email address and name.

If you want another “layer” of control over comments, you can also check the Comment must be manually approved or Comment author must have a previously approved comment on the Before a comment appears section.

You can read more about the Discussion settings at this page ??

I hope you find this information useful. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    thanks Stefania
it will not work for me, what I’d like from jetpack is here – https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/313
I was hoping that guys/gals have incorporated such a feature by now.

Hey @lejeczek! The feature hasn’t been deployed yet, but your feedback is important for us! Now we know another user is interested in it ??

I will point that out in the GitHub issue, and feel free to comment yourself as well if you have any more feedback to share with us.

You’re also welcome to follow that along to stay updated in case we release it at some point.

Let me know if there’s anything else we can do to help!
