Comments Randomly Appeared in RSS Feed

  • A weird issue occurred since upgrading to the newest version of WordPress. RSS subscribers reported getting a handful of approved comments in their RSS feed for my site. None are currently showing up in the feed, implying it was temporary but I’m not sure what would cause this to happen in the first place. I’d certainly like to avoid it from happening again.

    The link to the RSS is the standard https://www.siteurl.com/feed/ (example) and we’ve never had this problem with it in the past.

    Has anyone experienced something similar?
